SWP5K5H-V1

SWP5K5H-V1 for a 5.5 kW Three-Phase Solar Pump

The SWP5K5H-V1 is a solar pump inverter designed to drive a three-phase motor rated at 5.5 kW from a PV array. Its published output is 380 to 440 V AC three-phase with a rated current of 13 A. MPPT control adapts pump operation to the available solar energy.

This page covers only the 5.5 kW model. The 7.5 and 11 kW ratings are not presented as variants until their own model references and specifications are available on the product page. For another rating, provide the motor nameplate to receive a separate selection.

Motor and Pump Selection

Selection is not based on 5.5 kW alone. Provide the voltage, current, frequency, efficiency, and power factor from the motor nameplate. Then verify the pump at the required duty point: flow, total dynamic head, dynamic borehole water level, friction losses, pipe diameter, and daily water volume.

  • pump type and model, submersible or surface;
  • flow/head curve and duty point;
  • motor-cable length, cross-section, and installation;
  • dry-run, high-level, pressure, or flow sensors;
  • water quality, depth, and site conditions.

PV Array Sizing

The string operating voltage must remain within the 485 to 750 V DC MPPT range. Module open-circuit voltage, corrected for the site’s minimum temperature, must remain below 800 V DC. The 50 V gap between the upper MPPT limit and maximum voltage makes an open-circuit voltage calculation essential before connection.

  • provide each module’s Voc, Vmp, Isc, Imp, and temperature coefficient;
  • confirm the number of modules in series and installed PV power;
  • verify the maximum input current before connecting the string;
  • provide a DC isolator, fuse when required, surge protection, earthing, and correct polarity;
  • size cables for current, length, voltage drop, and environment.

Auxiliary AC Supply and Operating Modes

A grid or generator supply is included only when the ordered configuration contains the corresponding input, protection, and control diagram. The quotation then states voltage, frequency, phase, source priority, transition mode, isolation, and backfeed protection. In solar-only operation, speed and flow depend on available PV power.

IP20 Installation and Forced-Air Cooling

IP20 does not permit direct exposure to rain, water spray, irrigation dust, or condensation. Install the inverter in a technical room or enclosure with suitable environmental protection, ventilation, and maintenance access. Keep the air inlets and fan clean.

Communication, Sensors, and Protection

RS485 provides a communication interface. Remote monitoring additionally requires a compatible protocol, gateway or data logger, network, and software. The protection scope is defined with project sensors and accessories: motor overload, dry run, tank level, electrical fault, surge, and emergency stop according to the configuration.

Commissioning

  • check wiring, PV polarity, earthing, and protection;
  • enter the motor nameplate data and operating limits;
  • test rotation direction, flow, head, and sensors;
  • verify temperature rise, ventilation, and alarms;
  • provide the customer with the diagram, settings, and commissioning results.

Pricing and Quotation Scope in Gabon

As an indication, a pumping configuration combining the inverter, protection, and connection equipment may range from XAF 650,000 to XAF 1,800,000, depending on the motor, pump, PV array, and installation scope. This range is not a fixed unit price. The quotation itemizes equipment, delivery, work, testing, inclusions, and exclusions.
